Allowing Gum Infection To Progress Can End Up Losing Your Teeth

Periodontal disease or gum disease is actually a gum infection which is being caused by anaerobic bacteria formed from food particles left in the mouth. This will only be possible if proper oral care is not practiced. Plaque being formed from bacteria then it produces acids and toxins that irritates the gums causing gum infection to take place. Inflammation of gums and eventually tooth loss are its major effects. When gum infection is allowed to progress it can spread all over the other system of the body, resulting to weakened immune system, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders.
